It amazes me how many people are taking care of petz naturally, and/or with petz in just a small group. It's really caught on lately at the RKC, and it's really nice to see. It surprised me how much fun it could be, and also how it can take just a little bit of time to take care of a few petz, or how easily it is to loose track of time while playing with just a small group. It's a lot of fun to learn a pet's personality well - even if they are just pixels - and I've been having a lot of fun actually playing the game lately.
Raising petz naturally and seeing the forum so involved in this has inspired me to turn what would have been one of my personal petz into a project called "Project Maria". Over the next week and a half or so, I'm going to be playing with Maria as much as I can, learning as much about her as possible, recording stories in her petz profile, taking pictures & showing her off, entering her in the show ring for points, etc. Then, next month, I'm going to put her up for adoption at the Petzrus forum in order to celebrate "Blast to the Past" (or BTP) month, promoting people to play with their petz naturally, using and showing off their older petz, hexing/breeding from older files, etc. I'm really excited to see how this will go, and I think it'll be a lot of fun to find Maria a new home after she's been a marjor part of my crew for a short period of time.
Maria was hexed to be special. She has some extra, small spots/flecks on her back & rump and I spent a good amout of time hexing her colors & eye colors. She's really adorable, and I like that she's a breed that isn't hexed very often (coon). I wanted her to be special when I hexed her - I was origanally hexing her for myself. But then I started playing in P5 more, and thought that I might not want to keep her in the long run, and wanted to keep her in a "short term". That's when I thought about how I'd adopt her out, and eventually led to this project. It may be hard to give her up later on, but I care about this project too much and I think it will be worth the "end result" of the experiment. (Plus, it might gather some very-well-needed attention to Petzrus right now by adopting her out there. hahaha -shameless advertising-) But this project is bigger than that, and I hope it catches on! :3
If enough people who don't have catz for their game are interested in this, then just post her and complain. (lol, not literally) I'd love to try this with a dog later, too. I'm terrible in the show ring with dogs, but I can always try my best & then find some EBW dog shows and enter those. I want to finish "Project Maria" before I decide to do this with a dog or add anything else, though. One thing at a time. ;3
OH! And I need help thinking of a show name, if anyone has any suggestions? =3
If you're interested in her, etc.... "stay tuned" because I'll be updating this thread with new pictures, stories, or just gushing about her personality, etc.
